What is the deadline for applications?
Applications are accepted year round. The scholarship committee meets every quarter to review and approve applications. Depending the date application is received will determine the semester that scholarship is awarded.
Who is eligible to apply?
Any child, grandchild or great grandchild of an active member of the VMCCA. Membership will be verified with the secretary of VMCCA.
What is the amount of the scholarship?
Scholarship amounts are based upon donations received and funds allocated for the year. Currently we are awarding scholarships in the amount of $1500 to eligible applicants. Please advise the Foundation if you have a full scholarship offer from other sources.
Can you receive a scholarship more than once?
No. If you have previously applied and did not receive a scholarship, you may reapply.
Must I attend a college or university?
No. Students who are enrolled in any accredited school or vocational school are eligible to apply. Full or part-time students may apply.
Does the scholarship funds come directly to me or to the school?
The scholarship funds go directly to the school financial department and must be used for the current school year. It is important that you complete school information on the application so that funds are distributed correctly.
Must I attend a VMCCA tour to be eligible?
Although it is not required to attend a VMCCA tour to be eligible, we strongly encourage you to get involved. The VMCCA is a great way to see explore the United States, meet new people and visit interesting places. Of course there is the old cars! Everyone loves seeing old cars driving down the highway.
